Discovery Flight
Experience ultralight flying firsthand with a certified instructor and discover the thrill of taking the controls.
Enroll
Complete the straightforward enrollment paperwork, Category 4 medical self-declaration, and receive your Ground School kit.
Flight Training
Schedule flight lessons around suitable weather and your personal schedule, operating 7 days per week at Duncan Airport.
Ground School
Complete the live online ground school over Zoom from home covering aerodynamics, navigation, meteorology, air law, and systems.
Training on Vancouver Island
Flight training is conducted out of Duncan Airport (CAM3), nestled between Victoria and Nanaimo. Restricted to light aircraft, CAM3 provides a quiet, friendly, and non-intimidating training environment right on the perimeter of designated practice areas—saving transit time and keeping instruction costs to a minimum.
Flight Fundamentals
Master straight and level flight, climbing, descending, steep turns, slow flight, stalls, and side-slipping techniques.
Cross-Country Navigation
Read VFR charts, compute headings using the E6B flight computer, manage drift, and navigate across Gulf Islands and coastal terrain.
Radio Procedures
Gain confidence communicating on standard aviation ATF frequencies (122.8 MHz), circuit calls, and Canadian airspace procedures.
Aviation Meteorology
Learn weather interpretation, coastal fog trends, mountain waves, winds, METARs, and TAFs for safe flight decision-making.
Airmanship & Safety
Build sound judgement, emergency procedures, pre-flight checks, density altitude calculation, and situational awareness.
Aircraft Systems
Understand airframes, four-stroke and two-stroke aircraft engines, fuel systems, propeller dynamics, and routine maintenance.
Private Pilot & Ultralight Ground School
Attend from the comfort of your own home anywhere in Canada. Our comprehensive 6-week curriculum prepares you for both the Ultralight Pilot Permit and Recreational Pilot Permit written examinations.

In 2000, we established our permanent flight training base at Duncan Airport (CAM3).
